Guide, Don't Drive™ wasn't built to be installed by one person.
You've built a system that works. You can't be everywhere it's needed.
Every organization LLI installs GDD in still needs a steward once LLI's engagement ends.
Coaches and consultants ask to deliver GDD under their own practice - there's no certified path for that yet.
A methodology that only one company can deliver doesn't scale as a network. It scales as a bottleneck.
Guide, Don't Drive™ was built as a doctrine, not a personality. It has to be installable by more than Steve.
Installation Partner Certification is how the network gets built - deliberately, under supervision, one certified cohort at a time.
The Certification Path
Three steps. One completion standard.
Certification is earned, not purchased. Every Installation Partner is evaluated against the same standard LLI holds itself to.
Step 1
Doctrine Mastery
The full Guide, Don't Drive™ doctrine library - identity discipline, tolerance discipline, recovery, and the behavioral engine underneath the system.
Step 2
Supervised Installation
You install GDD under LLI supervision before you install it independently. Delivery is evaluated, not assumed.
Step 3
Certified Status and Continuing Education
Certification is renewed annually through continuing education, keeping every Installation Partner current as the doctrine evolves.
2,000+ leaders. 200+ organizations. 15% average net income increase.
That's what LLI has installed directly. Certification exists to extend that same standard through a network of certified practitioners - starting with this founding cohort.
Built for practitioners ready to install a system, not sell a framework.
- Executive coaches and consultants who want a system, not just a framework, to install
- Leadership development firms looking to add a certified, proprietary methodology
- Internal L&D leaders who want to become their organization's certified steward
- Practitioners who already believe behavior - not awareness - is the unit of change
A licensed guide is different from an installation partner.
Installation Partners are certified to deliver GDD installations inside their own practice or organization. Licensed Guides are practitioners who have completed the certification and are authorized to deliver specific GDD modules and reinforcement cadences on behalf of the LLI network - running Monday Morning Implementation sessions, delivering doctrine, and holding the standard inside an installation that LLI or a certified partner initiated.
The role is operational, not advisory. A licensed guide runs the weekly cadence. They hold the standard inside the room. They do not redesign the system - they deliver it with fidelity.
Who it is a fit for
- Internal L&D leaders who want to be the authorized steward inside their organization's installation
- Coaches or consultants already pursuing Installation Partner Certification who want to understand the full network model
- HR and leadership development practitioners inside organizations where GDD is already installed or being evaluated
How to become one
The path to becoming a licensed guide runs through Installation Partner Certification - the three-step process above covering doctrine mastery, supervised installation, and certified status. Not every installation partner becomes a licensed guide, and not every licensed guide pursues the full partner track. The distinction matters. If you are unsure which path fits your situation, start with a conversation.
The directory
A public directory of licensed guides will be published once the founding cohort completes certification. It will list certified practitioners by region and delivery scope.
